The Battle of Franklin took place on November 30, 1864, in Franklin, Tennessee, during the Franklin–Nashville Campaign. Coming just a day after the clash at Spring Hill, the battle proved to be one of the most devastating defeats of the entire war for the Confederate Army, leaving lasting consequences for their western forces.
